The Downtown merchant's association started a farmers' produce market in April, 1998 on First Ave. just south of Huntington Drive (Old Route 66).
It is open every Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon, and brings in 25-30 farmers, 5-10 related food vendors and 3,000 plus people who shop the market and adjacent stores.
It's been incredibly successful. For really fresh produce, vegetables, fruit, shop the Famers market
